“Transport iesit din comun” documentary
This is the final version of the documentary on the project of Romanian Cultural Institute and Ilotopie, the French street-theatre group that have come and performed in Bucharest, August, 2008. The documentary is directed by Razvan Leucea and Stefan Parlog, students at the National University of the Arts of Theater and Cinematography.
Frica – googly googly go away*
M-au chemat prietenii la joaca, pe net 
De data aceasta, este vorba despre o joaca mai avansata, cu scotociri interioare si sperate concluzii desteptatoare. Sarcina e simpla: ia zi tu, Adriana, ce ai face tu in viata asta daca nu ti-ar fi frica?
Apai ce nu stiati despre mine este ca sunt o fricoasa fara salvare careia ii este frica de veridicitatea zicalei “De ce ti-e frica, de aia nu scapi”. Asa ca daca as scapa de temeri, m-as putea distra si eu putin: as merge la cel mai fitos restaurant, as comanda cel mai scump vin, mancare cat pentru toata familia si delicatese, apoi as fugi fara sa platesc; as colora cu markerul toate hainele kitschoase pe care le-as intalni; as face un foc de tabara in piata universitatii cu toate inregistrarile manelistice (si-apoi as incinge o hora cu studentii); as face bungee, as schia pe orice partie, as imbratisa un leu, mi-as lua carnetul de sofer si as pleca pentru cateva luni sa vad Europa si Asia (bine, unele actiuni necesita si bani seriosi, nu numai curaj).
Daca nu mi-ar mai fi frica, as lucra in cercetare si m-as duce pana la marginea lumii dupa informatiile de care am nevoie. Apoi, daca m-as plictisi, as schimba domeniul si registrul in care lucrez. Si m-as stabili acolo unde ne simtim bineveniti. Si as iubi curajos, all the way.
Sa vedem ce ar face urmatorii daca nu i-ar bloca frica: Diana, Plug, Suzi. Cica e un nene care contorizeaza dorintele noastre neimplinite, si-anume Dragos Bucurenci, trebuie sa scrieti si linkul spre el la sfarsitul postului.
*in titlu am apelat la o replica din superbul film The Fall, replica salvatoare pentru o fetita care contribuie cu imaginatia ei la o poveste despre eroi legendari, schitata de un barbat paralizat, pacient, ca si ea, intr-un spital din Los Angelesul anilor 1920. Un amestec de parodie si drama si o relatie intre copil si fantastic ce aduce a El Laberinto del fauno, al lui Guillermo del Toro.
Happy 2009!
Through the New Year’s party in Constitutiei Square, I think we’ve shown what we wish for 2009: greatness, explosive fireworks, passion, music, synchronization with the other European countries, a colorful way of seeing life and stepping out of the gray shades that seem to be stuck on Romanian’s psychic. Solidarity and patriotism, accepting Communism and getting over that chapter once and for all, by letting its ghosts go. We keep illuminating the House of People hoping that maybe we can modify it for good, maybe it would no longer be this giant emblem of our dark times, but once the lights are off, everybody goes to sleep and then the next day you realize that nothing has actually changed. We want to expand and to be organized in dealing with tomorrow’s problems. We can’t wait to see the new challenges!
